Published on: 20th June, 2020

SWAT (Stop Work Authority- Taken) Is a concept to help improve the safety of employees. The idea is that safety is no longer placed in the hands of safety professionals and is instead put into the employees hands. Matt and Joe discuss how SWAT is used, how to develop the culture needed for SWAT to thrive and how SWAT impacts a company's bottom line. The two schools of thought in safety, as developed by Joe, is explained and how safety should be introduced to the company culture. Special Thanks to Scean for his questions about SWAT and how to effectively develop it in a company.
